On April 13, 2022, around 40 students from North Port High School in Sarasota visited the Warren B. Nelms Institute IoT Lab. The students saw and participated in hands-on demos from eight Nelms Institute Graduate Students. The projects demos included secure RFID technology, a wearable health-monitoring device, automotive simulator, drone network experimentation, a fake medicine detection device, and Fair AI tool for online STEM education.
