New Faculty Member Highlight: Dr. Angelina Bernier

Angelina Bernier

Dr Bernier, who is a Pediatric Endocrinologist with research focus on the care and treatment of children with diabetes, obesity and comorbidities has recently joined the Warren B. Nelms Institute for the Connected World. With a specific focus on health disparities, she translates clinical knowledge in caring for high-risk populations to basic and clinical research with projects that leverage smart and connected systems technology and tailored individualized care. As the Medical Director of the Pediatric Metabolic & Obesity Clinic at the University of Florida, Dr Bernier continues to develop care models within multidisciplinary teams to improve the use of medical therapy and advanced technology such as in glucose sensing devices to optimize pediatric weight management.
