ABOUT

Dr. Jie Xu is an Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Florida (UF). Prior to UF, he was a faculty member at the University of Miami from 2015 to 2024. Dr. Xu received his. Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2015, with a Distinguished Ph.D. Dissertation Award. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University, China, in 2008 and 2010, respectively. Dr. Xu’s research interest includes edge computing, edge artificial intelligence, wireless networks, machine learning for communication networks, and network security. He is a recipient of the NSF CAREER award.
