BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Rui Guo is an instructional assistant professor in the Department of Engineering Education at University of Florida (UF). Before joining UF, she accumulated extensive teaching experience at Texas Tech University and substantial research experience in the ITS and Safety program at Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR). Her research interests encompass data science and CS education, STEM workforce development and training, as well as multimodal transportation and safety. Over the course of her career, she has taught a variety of programming and data science courses and has led or contributed to numerous engineering and education research projects funded by state or national agencies. Additionally, she is committed to developing innovative strategies and approaches to broaden participation in computing and engineering disciplines, with a particular focus on supporting women and underserved minorities.
