IoT Students Club Hosts Student-Led Panel on Getting Internships and Jobs at Top Companies

On Thursday February 2, 2023, the IoT Students Club at the University of Florida hosted a panel workshop titled “How to Get Internships/Jobs at Top Companies.” The workshop featured a panel of seven current students who have secured internships or jobs at top companies in the IoT and security sectors.

The student panelists offered tips and answered questions about their experiences getting internships and jobs at companies such as MIT Lincoln Lab, Los Alamos National Lab, Intel, Sandia National Laboratories, Infosys, Raytheon, and Elbit Systems of America.

“I thought it was a very successful event for the IoT Students Club,” said Reiner Dizon-Paradis, president of the IoT Students Club. “The panelists offered a very broad and diverse experience that the attendees can pull from. They also asked a lot of good questions that organically moved the conversation along. We also hope to do more events like this in the future that can help more students in their job search.”

The IoT Students Club was founded in 2020. They host academic and social activities throughout the year, including the annual IoT Design Competition.
